Justine Reese, AMFT

Justine is a Registered Associate Marriage and Family Therapist (129298) providing psychotherapy to adolescents, adults and families in our Mill Valley office and online. Justine works with clients to recognize, develop and harness their own innate strengths to meet the challenges they face in their lives. She helps clients to address pressing, immediate concerns, while also pursuing deeper exploration to build greater understanding, growth and resilience. Her hope is that clients will gain the tools and self awareness to be able to meet new challenges long after they have left therapy. Justine’s approach is strengths-based, client-centered, and non-judgmental, and she believes in the vital importance of a strong relationship between the therapist and the client. She takes a collaborative and active role with her clients, and adjusts treatment to meet the needs of each client, bringing in tools from a variety of approaches.

Justine has experience working with older adults, adults, adolescents and families, and continues to work with adolescents in a school setting. She also participates in county-wide initiatives to improve mental health services and prevention programs for at-risk and Spanish-speaking newcomer youth. She has worked with clients on issues including trauma, grief and loss, anxiety, depression, parenting, relationships, life transitions, and body image/disordered eating. She is also a mother of two children, and has lived experience and deep empathy for the challenges faced by both adolescents and their parents.
