Jen Hochschild, APCC
Jennifer (Jen) Hochschild is an Associate Professional Clinical Counselor (APCC 24276) working with individuals, couples, and families in both our Mill Valley and San Francisco offices, as well as via Telehealth for California Residents.
Jen approaches her work with warmth, curiosity, and a genuine interest in understanding each person's unique story. She draws from psychodynamic, relational, and client-centered theories, and is currently training in the Gottman Method to deepen her work with couples. Jen believes that we all share a fundamental need to feel seen, understood, and connected to others. At the heart of her approach is the belief that meaningful change grows out of a trusting and authentic therapeutic relationship.
Particularly interested in working with individuals and couples navigating life's transitions, Jen understands that transitions, even when welcomed, can bring unexpected emotions and questions about identity, purpose, and connection.
Most recently, Jen completed clinical training with the Miller Creek School District, working with elementary and middle school students and their families. Prior to pursuing a career in psychotherapy, she earned her juris doctor and practiced as a labor and employment attorney.
